Time

It does worry me some time. The fact that time doesn’t stop. Not at our will, nor at our whim. We make desperate attempts to slow it down, and yet with every plea to “Please please please let us catch up before everyone else moves too far ahead!”, we get further away from our wishes, and no power in the universe can narrow the gap.

It just doesn’t work. I hope we’ve all realized this. When it finally sets in, we sit and reflect. We ask for further clarification. “Why the fuck does this not stop?”

No answer still.

I get it. In the grand scheme of things, nothing really matters. But then, in the now, in the present, when life starts to look insanely tricky, we believe maybe a short pause from the movement could help. Maybe a small break from time.

Asking for time away from time. What a crazy paradox.

Tired of trying conventional methods to defy physics? Maybe witchcraft might help. Yes, maybe it would. Maybe a couple more eyes of newt in the cauldron. Maybe a couple more crystals to the third eye. Maybe a bit more Oum chants at the altar. Does time finally stop?

Fuck, no.

People progress. We progress. Time has to progress. Whether we like it or not. Believe it or not, this dimension has a major limitation. Linearity. And an unfortunate consequence of physical existence on this plane is that the physical being needs to conform.

We really don’t have a say here. And the worst part is that we don’t realize it’s not necessary. Time doesn’t need to stop. It just has to bend to our will. Time slows when we slow. The moment we stop catching up, that’s the moment time slows. We don’t need to do it all. Because when we want to do it all, that’s when it moves faster than we are able to keep up.

My advice? Slow. Down.

That’s the bottom line. The clock ticks. So what.

So. Fucking. What.

Slow it down. And time slows for you.
